I have been Miss Courteney’s mentor since she first started her coaching career a few years ago. She has a special empathy with children who need a little more assistance, encouragement and confidence.
Miss Courteney is a Level 2 General Gymnastics Coach. She started gymnastics at the age of 10 and competed at regional competitions, she also represented her club at the Rose’s national competition. As a gymnast Miss Courteney’s favourite piece of apparatus was the floor.
Miss Courteney took dance classes from the age of 11. She took Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical and Tap. She enjoyed Jazz the most because she loves all the turns and leaps.
Dance has helped Miss Courteney with her gymnastics coaching as she has worked with different gymnasts to choreograph floor routines, rhythmic floor routines, display and shows.
Over the years Miss Courteney has gained experience working with Artistic gymnasts, Rhythmic gymnasts along with Acro for dancers. Miss Courteney loves being creative and enjoys working with other professionals to learn new techniques. Miss Courteney loves teaching gymnastics as she enjoys working with the gymnasts to help improve their ability and confidence each session.
Miss Courteney is a Level 2 General Gymnastics Coach, Safeguarding Trained, Health and Safety Trained, First Aid Trained and has a up to date DBS.
